The World Tsunami Awareness Day 2026 campaign aims to strengthen public understanding of what to do before, during and after a tsunami, and should encourage wider participation in evacuation drills, school engagement and local planning. It will also make preparedness more inclusive, reaching groups that face heightened risk, and reinforce partnerships.
