Plano de contigência (2012-2013): Defesa civil municipal do Rio de Janeiro

Civil Defense developed the Eviction Plan for the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro to guarantee the physical integrity of residents of high-risk areas. This plan aims to establish procedures and prepare for the quick and safe eviction of residents in the event of events, such as a landslide resulting from heavy rain.

For the Municipal Civil Defense of Rio de Janeiro, landslides are the most significant problem arising from heavy rains due to the Human Damage (deaths and injuries) caused by this disaster. Although we cannot fail to act in prevention, preparation, response, and reconstruction for all other types of disasters, the main focus of this body is community protection, especially for residents of high- geological risk areas.
